Technical debt means your code is messy and hard to change. Data debt means your data is wrong and hard to trust. One makes developers slower. The other makes entire businesses make wrong decisions. Guess which one costs more.

Technical debt is linear. A messy codebase makes future changes take 2x or 3x longer. That's painful but predictable.
