A general contractor can frame walls, run electrical, and lay tile. But if you're building a house, you hire specialists — an electrician for wiring, a plumber for pipes, a roofer for the roof. Each one is faster and more reliable in their domain than a generalist would be.

The same principle applies to AI agents. A general-purpose agent handles any task adequately. A specialized agent — with focused instructions, relevant tools, and targeted context — handles its specific domain exceptionally well.
